Richard S. Victor elected a Diplomate of the American College of Family Trial Lawyers

in Bloomfield Hills, recently was elected as one of only 95 attorneys in the country to the American College of Family Trial Lawyers (ACFTL) and was inducted into the College at its annual meeting in New Orleans.

The Oakland County Bar Foundation (OCBF) hosted its 14th Annual Signature Event to benefit Michigan-based law-related charitable causes on Friday, April 19, at the Oakland Hills Country Club in Bloomfield Hills. Victor & Victor, PLLC, once again served as one of the sponsors of the event.

More than 200 attended the Michigan Lawyers Weekly Up & Coming Lawyers 2012 luncheon Dec. 6 at the Detroit Marriott Troy.

The 20 Up & Coming Lawyers were honored for establishing a name for themselves, for going above and beyond, and displaying the ambition, drive, determination and accomplishments that set them apart among their peers — in their first 10 years in practice.

The American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML) presented its annual seminar on Thursday, May 7, 2009 at the Townsend Hotel in Birmingham. Welcoming special lunch speaker Michigan Supreme Court Chief Justice Marilyn Kelly (center) were (left to right) AAML Michigan Chapter President Michael Robbins of the Law Office of Michael A. Robbins and former National Board of Governor of the AAML and the Academy’s 2006 National Fellow of the Year, Richard S. Victor, of the Law Offices of Victor and Victor PLLC.
 

On Friday, Sept 19, the International Kids Alliance Network (IKAN) along with attorney Richard S. Victor of Victor and Victor P.L.L.C. and the Victor Smile Foundation hosted the second in a series of nationwide children’s book charity events at the Walter P. Chrysler Museum in Auburn Hills to launch the book “You and Me Make Three,” which is based on the national parent education SMILE program, started in Oakland Country in 1989. During the event, the book’s publisher, Edna Cucksy (center) of Edco Publishing Co., presented the 2008 Hermes Creative Award to (left to right) illustrator Heather Drescher and co-authors Richard S. Victor, Wendy Lokken, and Gwendy Mangiamele. The book deals with the challenges of divorce and separation. Proceeds from the launch event will benefit Oakland Schools, the Oakland Schools Education Foundation, and CARE House.

Matrimonial law has become a family affair for the father-and-son legal team of Richard and Daniel Victor.  The duo, pictured in their Long Lake Road office, is backed by legal assistant Kathleen Germaine, a member of the firm for the past 18 years.

Four of the five living Lifetime Achievement Award recipients from the State Bar of Michigan Family Law Section were at the meeting including (left to right) Edward D. Attorney Daniel Victor speaks to the Pennsyvlania Bar Association on the issue of children's rights in the United States. In November, 2005, Daniel spoke to the Pennsylvania Bar Association on the issues of children's rights and grandparent visitation. Daniel was the keynote speaker, as well as a featured panel speaker at the convention.

On March 12, 2008, at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Naples, Florida the children’s book “You and Me Make Three”, published by Edco Publishing Co., which is based on the parent education program SMILE (Start Making It Livable For Everyone) program, created by Oakland County, MI Judge Edward Sosnick and Bloomfield Hills, MI Family Law Attorney, Richard S. Victor was launched with a major book signing and charity benefit raising money for the Collier County teachers fund of Florida and the Collier County Education Foundation.

After a study showing that grandparent drivers are safer drivers with children, Richard Victor, of Victor & Victor, PLLC and founder of the national Grandparents Rights Organization was interviewed by the NBC Today Show and MSNBC for an article published nationwide on the study.

Richard S. Victor, founding partner of Victor & Victor, PLLC's  work on behalf of the rights of children has received national recognition. He has appeared on many local, network and cable television programs as a guest where either his cases or work has been discussed.
